Who to contact about your claim
DUA Call Center: (877) 626-6800
This guide has no contact form, and no view of anybody's claim. It is independent of the Department of Unemployment Assistance, so a message sent here would reach nobody who can pay you, open an account, or change a decision. Every route below goes to an office that can.
Getting help with your own claim
The DUA Call Center answers on (877) 626-6800, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nobody picks up on a Friday, because DUA stopped taking Friday calls in August 2025 so agents could work through open claims, while the online services stay open Monday through Friday. Multilingual agents work that line, and help in Spanish and other languages covers what else the Department publishes in 12 languages. Callers who are deaf or hard of hearing go through the voice relay service on 711, which DUA publishes as open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Much of a claim never needs a phone call at all. DUA posts what it wants from you in the Action Center of your Unemployment Services for Workers account, and you answer there and send documents back the same way. To answer a fact-finding request by phone instead, the number is (617) 626-6800, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
DUA keeps separate lines for payments, PINs, direct deposit, weekly requests, and appeal hearings. They are listed on offices and phone numbers.
Seeing DUA in person
Appointments with DUA run at the Boston Re-Employment Center, 2 Avenue de Lafayette, Boston, MA 02111, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Limited appointments are also available at some MassHire Career Centers elsewhere in the state, and offices and phone numbers names those cities and carries the address of every center.
If someone claimed benefits in your name
Report it to DUA. The claim is then locked, no payments go out on it, and DUA can issue a corrected 1099-G where one has already been sent. The steps and the number are on denials, appeals, and overpayments.
If you are an employer
An employer's questions do not go to the claimant Call Center. DUA's employer customer service answers on (617) 626-5075.
The programs DUA does not run
Paid Family and Medical Leave belongs to the Department of Family and Medical Leave, and its Contact Center is (833) 344-7365. Disability benefits sets out how that program and a Social Security claim sit beside unemployment, which matters because the deadlines and the money are not the same.
Tax on benefits already paid belongs to the Department of Revenue. Its Contact Center is (617) 887-6367, or (800) 392-6089 toll free inside Massachusetts, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Taxes on unemployment covers withholding and the 1099-G before you get that far.
